Neil R's Thin Place : Heart Stone

I always take it as a nice

sign when they appear!

I’m a master craftsman from Scotland specializing in drystone construction. I’ve worked all over the world for 30 years on walls and intricate stone structures.

I was working on a sunken road in Fredericksburg Virginia years ago when I came across a stone in the shape of a heart. From then onwards every project I work on, even though I’m not looking for it, a heart shaped stone seems to appear. Even at Weir Farm we found several. One heart shaped stone was quite large and I incorporated it into the stone fence bordering the parking lot.
